Delivered-order chargeback evidence checklist.

Use this before responding to an item-not-received dispute. It helps ecommerce sellers gather the order, delivery, policy, and support records that usually belong in a clean evidence packet.

1. Transaction and order record

  • Order confirmation with order ID, order date, item names, quantity, and total paid.
  • Payment timestamp and processor transaction ID, if available.
  • Billing and shipping country/state match notes, if your platform exposes them.
  • Product page or order-line screenshot showing what the customer bought.

2. Fulfillment and delivery proof

  • Fulfillment record showing pack/ship date, carrier, tracking number, and package details.
  • Carrier tracking page with shipped, in-transit, and delivered scans.
  • Delivery confirmation page showing delivered status, date, city/state, and delivery location when available.
  • Any signature, photo proof, pickup confirmation, or delivery exception notes.

3. Policy and storefront context

  • Refund, return, delivery, and lost-package policy screenshots.
  • Policy URL and capture date, ideally close to the order date.
  • Checkout or shipping terms if they are visible in your platform records.
  • Any post-purchase tracking or delivery notification sent to the customer.

4. Customer communication

  • Support thread showing what the customer reported and when.
  • Merchant responses that provided tracking, delivery, replacement, refund, or policy information.
  • Notes about whether the customer changed the delivery address, requested reshipment, or acknowledged receipt.
  • Remove unnecessary personal data before forwarding evidence outside the original platform.

5. Packet structure

  • One-paragraph merchant statement summarizing the order, fulfillment, and delivery facts.
  • Chronological timeline from order date through dispute response deadline.
  • Evidence index with attachment names that match the files you upload.
  • Final review for legibility, relevance, privacy, and submission deadline.
